" After eight years of research, I began planning a visit to the small southern Danish town where generations of my family had lived. While my amateur research skills had allowed me to pinpoint some addresses, several remained indecipherable for me.

That’s where Find Danish People came in. Applying their top-notch skills, they identified and verified those key addresses. But they brought far more than skill to the task at hand: they brought genuine curiosity, empathy, and passion. That unique combination of ability and heart led them to delve deeply into documents that are only available locally. As they did, they uncovered facts about my family and their homes that I could never have found without them.

When they presented their findings, their joy in the discoveries they’d made was palpable. Their very fine work reflects a full-hearted appreciation of how understanding our ancestors’ lives enriches our own sense of identity. Thanks to Find Danish People, I walked the streets my ancestors knew with a deeper understanding of their lives and of the ways their experience echoes within our family today."

"We travelled from Queensland, Australia to Denmark to see where our ancestors lived in Southern Jutland.

We knew very little about the places associated with them and had only two days to investigate.

We were advised to get in touch with James and his wife and in less than 24 hours, they made up a list of towns and the church where our ancestor was christened.

In the short time frame they had, it was not possible to locate houses they had lived in but James was able to show us houses from a similar period. James drove around with us to show us these places.

It really enhanced our holiday and helped us to understand our ancestors life so much better than before. Much appreciated.

Thanks so much. "

“They helped me confirm several Danish family lines, identify living relatives and they even found the 200-year farm where my 3x grandparents had lived, and arranged for me to visit it personally.
For someone like me with amateur genealogy skills, there's still no substitute for skilled researchers in Denmark who speak the language, know the regional history and can navigate documents and sources
with ease. ”

" It was our wish for us to pass on our family history as we remember it to our children and grandchildren. We had the fortune to work together with Find Danish People who helped us organize and create presentable family charts.

As a supplement to our own memories, we benefitted from the many well written descriptions of our ancestors lives. We have really appreciated a perfect collaboration. "

“I was curious to learn about my family surname, where it came from and with the assistance of Find Danish People they succeeded in finding a lot of detailed information of my ancestry, that I had no knowledge about.

It is pretty amazing what was uncovered and even in quite a limited of time. It is really superb work that deserves all of my best recommendations.

I was born with the Polish sounding surname; however, I had no idea where the name originated from before I asked Find Danish People to search for my forefathers. I now have an excellent insight on how my great grandmother as a young girl fled poverty and war to reach Soenderjylland. Thank you very much for a splendid report and meetings about my family’s past."

" I gave Signe what I thought was an impossible task. I had lost contact with a very dear friend from the seventies, when I lived in the UK. I knew she had remarried, but didn't know her new married name, and I didn't know where in the world she lived. I had lost all trace. However all I knew was that my friend was an American and that she was a couple of years younger than myself. All of the normal social media was negative.

Amazingly, Signe came back to me after a few weeks with a thick A3 folder full of details. Her new name, new husband, new address in Washington, and all the details of their children. These data allowed me to get in contact and renew a wonderful friendship.

Many thanks to Signes magical talents. It has been invaluable in rebuilding the friendship, and it has only been possible because of Signes impressive and diligent work. I can highly recommend you to get in contact with Signe, if you need to find some lost relatives or friends. "
